Sandbags

SANDBAGS

A series of two mild rainstorms are forecasted to affect the Mountain Fire Burn Area over the next 5 days. The first storm is expected on Saturday November 23 and is forecasted to drop less than 1/2″ of rain. The second storm is forecasted for Tuesday November 26 and is also forecasted to drop less than a 1/2″ of rain. Although both of these storms are mild, residents should be alert to changing conditions including the possibility of minor nuisance flooding caused by clogged drains and runoff.  No major impacts are anticipated from this storm system.

While no major impacts are anticipated from the forecasted storm systems, sandbags are available for those whose property may be at risk for post-fire debris flow or prone to flooding. The sandbags are pre-filled. Please be prepared to lift and transport them or enlist assistance, if needed. The sandbags are staged on pallets at the following locations in Camarillo:

  • Mission Drive & San Clemente Way
  • Mission Drive & West Highland Drive
