Water Quality Information

In the aftermath of the Mountain Fire's impacts on Camarillo, there have been several inquiries about water quality/safety. We would like to reassure City of Camarillo water customers that our water is safe to drink and can be used without restriction, as usual. The fire did not damage our equipment or impact the Desalter treatment facility.

For customers of other water agencies serving customers in Camarillo, residents are urged to verify directly with their provider that their water is safe to drink. Crestview Mutual Water Company, Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company, and California American Water Company - Las Posas Estates have issued unsafe water alerts to some customers due to impacts from the fire. Camrosa has stated on its website that, "critical infrastructure for our potable water system and wastewater collection and treatment systems are fully functional."
